Law of Reciprocity: Sowing & Reaping, Giving & Receiving

• Reciprocity – derived from Latin reciprocus, which means “moving back and forth;” that is, going out and coming in.

• The law of reciprocity is relevant to every area of life. Every choice and action is a seed that will produce results after its kind.

• The divine law of reciprocity demonstrates that what we give to God, He gives back to us.

• Seedtime and harvest are God’s law of genetics and also God’s covenant with creation.

• Generosity must be a characteristic of the household of faith. We must be givers.

• As people of God, we must be motivated by love. Our giving, our reciprocity, must be motivated by love.

• Giving is not a debt that we owe but a seed that we sow.

• Obedience is hard sometimes, but we must still obey. When we act on God’s word, we put ourselves in position to receive a harvest.

• God determines the returns of your fruit. If you have the right perspective and attitude, He will return the blessings to your house.

Consider:
What are you giving? Be sure that you are giving fruits of the Spirit. One seed can spring forth a tree that bears thousands of fruit. Be careful of the seeds you sow.
