Ebenezer Baptist Church is led by senior pastor Rev. Marvin Mills and his wife Minister Melverne Mills.

Minister Melverne Mills was born in the quaint settlement of Rock Sound, Eleuthera to her parents Neville A. Symonette and Melanie Symonette. She is the eldest child of her parents' union. Rev. Melverne moved to Abaco in 1993, as a teenager, after her father relocated for employment opportunities. She completed her high school education at the former Abaco Central High School; now called Patrick J. Bethel High School.
After entering the work field shortly after graduating, Rev. Melverne initially worked in the hospitality industry. In her early twenties, she found employment at the Bahamas Electricity Corporation - now Bahamas Power and Light, where she is still employed.
It was at her place of work, in the latter part of 2001, that Rev. Melverne met her husband, Pastor Marvin Mills. He sowed the seed of God's word into her life, which led to her coming to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior in October of that same year. After giving her life to the Lord, Rev. Melverne served with her, then, pastor - Apostle Lawrence Arnett - in various capacities: custodial worker, secretary, treasurer, administrator, armorbearer, youth leader, dance leader, and praise team member.
It was also at this time that Rev. Melverne gained experience in evangelism and outreach ministry. Along with her team members, she completed various outreach missions to family islands throughout The Bahamas. She served with her, then, pastor for 15 years before being released to relocate and work in ministry alongside her husband.

In July 2014, Pastor Marvin was appointed as interim pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church by the late Rev. Dr. Allan J. Mills, former senior pastor. He was ordained and installed as senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church on November 20, 2016 and appointed as president of the North Abaco Pastors' Association in July 2019. Pastor Marvin was installed as the superintendent of the Zion United Baptist Abaco District Convention on May 13, 2022.
His hobbies include listening to gospel music, playing the keyboard and lobster fishing.
Rev. Melverne married Pastor Marvin in October of 2005, and she believes that their marriage is for God's purpose and glory. To date, this husband and wife duo respectively serve as senior pastor and co-pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Cedar Harbour. Their union is blessed with three beautiful children: Omari, Caleb, and Gabrielle Mills.
Throughout her spiritual journey, Rev. Melverne has been blessed to preach the gospel at youth and women's conferences in several Bahama islands, as well as in the United States. She is currently the District Ladies President of the Zion United Baptist Abaco Convention, and she also serves as vice president of the Ministers Wives and Widows Association's Abaco branch. She is also the founder of God's Leading Ladies support group.
Rev. Melverne strives to faithfully answer the call to go wherever the Lord wants to use her, and she often recalls her commitment to God that she would not be "just a benchwarmer." Indeed, God has been using her ever since!
