The Godly Person & the Word of God

As the ages roll on, opposition to the truth will worsen. Paul tells us to expect this. However, we must hold onto God's Word and prepare for the battle at hand.

• False teachers deceive themselves as well as others. Deception, including self-deception, is an element of sin.

• Keep the truth of God's Word before you.

• Without knowledge of the Word, we are unable to effectively refute false doctrine.

• Scripture is the product of God's creative breath.

• The Word of God, when we apply it to our lives, corrects us and puts us on right paths. It makes us better.

• Righteousness is the condition of right standing with God; for this, we must meet God on His terms.

Consider

What is your soul feeding on? Is it feeding on God's Truth or on deception, lust, and sin?
